A paradise for sweet tooths
It may sound a bit immodest, but if you are a lover of sweets, Schronisko Krupówki is the place for you! Since we decided to treat our guests to specialty coffee, we thought it was time to think about a good dessert. One baked on site, according to a traditional recipe, but with a modern twist. If it is to be the best cake in Zakopane, then definitely without artificial additives and enhancers.
Mountain cake, when the Tatras tempt
We started with a mountain cake, a real treat for lovers of sweets. Delicate mass and a “thousand layer” cake sprinkled with crunchy nuts turned out to be a good move. One of our regular guests, who was the first to try our dessert, wrote this on Facebook. “The mountain cake is indescribable – the creamy consistency and perfectly matched nuts make it impossible to stop eating it! Simply heaven for the palate!”.
Apple pie like in a mountain shelter
The positive opinions were a signal to us that we were heading in the right direction. Then it was time for the number 1 mountain shelter dessert, apple pie. Yes, we admit it, we tested it in all mountain shelters in the Tatras. We love this classic dessert from the Chochołowska Valley shelter and the “Murowaniec” shelter. Our apple pie was to be a real classic, so we opted for fresh, juicy apples, delicately seasoned with cinnamon, hidden under shortcrust pastry. Could there be anything better after a long walk along Krupówki?

After the classic, we decided on …. When we think of chocolate, we immediately smile broadly, do you feel the same way? Dark chocolate sponge cake is the quintessence of what is best in desserts. Deep, intense flavour combined with velvety icing creates a dessert that will stay in your memory for a long time – do you agree?
A sweet cloud full of flavour
Heaven in your mouth – this is how you often describe our meringue cake with raspberries. We knew that delicate, crunchy meringue would contrast perfectly with sour, fresh raspberries, creating a combination that is addictive from the first bite. It is the perfect dessert for summer afternoons spent in our garden, just like tiramisu, which we serve in an elegant style.
